Student Visa Guide

Overview

If you are planning to pursue long-term education in Malaysia, you must obtain a student visa. This visa offers a longer validity period compared to a standard tourist visa and permits multiple entries into and exits from Malaysia throughout your studies.

Kindly prepare and submit the following documents to initiate your student visa application process:

Passport Scan
Clear scan of your passport
  • Applicant must be aged between 18 and 45 years
  • Passport validity should be at least 12 months from your planned arrival date in Malaysia
  • All pages must be scanned, including blank pages
  • Scanned copies must be in full colour
Passport Photo
Passport-sized photo
  • Dimensions: 35mm width x 45mm height
  • Preferably taken by a professional photographer; avoid cropped or unclear photos
  • Coloured photo with a white background
  • Detailed photo requirements are available on the EMGS website
Health Form
Completed Health Declaration Form
  • You can download the required form from EMGS
  • The form must be duly completed and signed by you
High School Certificate
High school certificate and English translation
  • Submit a coloured scanned copy
  • If the document is not in English, provide a certified English translation
High School Transcript
High school academic transcript and English translation
  • Provide a coloured scanned version of your transcript
  • If not originally in English, include an official translated copy
